A Drop of Paint

Space is an empty void. Beyond the Earth's sphere or an empty computer page creatives start with blank space. When you look up at space, you can't see beyond the black white cause the naked eye can only see the ultraviolet spectrum. A word document is white with black font. A blank canvas for a painter is white. It's quiet within the void of the artist mind in the beginning. What about the next step? A letter. A drop of paint. I am artist always looking at the blank space thinking about all of the above, and I must say it's difficult. What should I write about within the art world?

Since I've given it some thought, my writing for this art editorial will be personal, explorative, intimate, delicate, colorful, analytic, and nihilistic. Art has no bounds. The personal side of this editorial will be from my opinion eliminating the third and second person phrases in English. My opinion will be arguable and reactive. My personal approach will be explorative. I'm living in New England for the first time around the sun. Leaves on the trees will turn brown, pumpkin patches will blossom, and apple cider will be poured. I've lived here for four months and I've yet to see a museum or a theatre show. The seasons of the Hartford Stage and several other Theaters around the state are about to start! Food is an intimate interaction with my life, I've been around several fine dining restaurants; this blog will make your mouth water with photos and reviews of some of the best dining in the area. My personal favorite already is Rein's Deli. Such fantastic corn beef. I'll handle restaurants, theaters, museums with delicate adjectives and colorful imagery.

Most importantly, my favorite form of art is the complexity of film. A series of images that tell a unique and emotional story that captivates audiences across ninety to one hundred and eighty minutes, maybe even longer. I'm a filmmaker. I've directed, edited, produced short films and wrote full-length feature films. No, I'm not famous. I make films for the passion of it. I care about what I do and I only want to do the things I love well. Within this blog, I'll avoid talking about films I make for the time being, in the mean I write critical thought essays about films.

Then whenever I'm bored healing my childhood trauma while drinking chocolate milk late at night, my writing will be thoughts about contemporary or historical musicians, artist, writers, and icons. Lately, I've been thinking about Jordan Peele might be the greatest filmmaker of this upcoming generation of newcomers or Rothko is a libra and how it affects his artistic style.

This white void is filled.
